Terms of Service

The short version

Adults only. You must be 18 or older, and old enough under the law where you live.
Your stories are yours. You let us show them on the site; you can delete them at any time.
Never identify anyone. No names, contact details, addresses or anything that points to a real person. No minors, no non-consent, no ads for sex.
We moderate. Stories are checked automatically before they appear, anyone can report one, and we remove what breaks the rules.
Stories are what their authors say. We don't verify them, and locations are deliberately approximate.

This summary helps you read the Terms; it doesn't replace them.

1. Agreement

These Terms are an agreement between you and [operator's legal name] ("we", "us"), which runs HSH at hadsexhere.com (the "site"). By creating an account, or by using the site without one, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't accept them, don't use the site.

2. Who may use the site

You must be at least 18 years old, and at least the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
You may not use the site where content about adult sexual experiences is illegal for you to read or write. You are responsible for knowing the law where you are.
You may not use the site if we have banned you before.

At sign-up you give your date of birth and confirm that you are an adult. Giving a false date of birth breaks these Terms. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we delete it and its stories.

3. What the site is, and isn't

HSH is a map of short, text-only stories that adults write about places where they had consensual sex. It is not a dating, hook-up, escort or meeting service, and it has no messaging between members.

Stories are their authors' own accounts. We don't check whether they are true, and publishing one doesn't mean we endorse it.
Locations are approximate on purpose. Every pin is moved to the center of an area roughly 300 meters across before it is stored, and the exact spot is never kept or shown. A pin says nothing about any particular building, home or person.
Stories are anonymous. They are shown without your username, email or any other account detail.
The site is text only: no photos, videos or audio.

4. Your account

Give a real email address you control. We use it to confirm your account and to reset your password.
Keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
One person, one account. Accounts can't be sold or shared.
Your username must not be offensive, impersonate someone, or contain contact details.

5. Content rules

You agreed to these rules when you created your account. They apply to every story, and to everything else you submit, including reports. Never post anything that:

Involves anyone under 18, at the time of the events or now, including stories where everyone involved was under 18.
Describes sex without everyone's consent, including with someone asleep, unconscious or too intoxicated to consent.
Offers, asks for or advertises sex, escorts or prostitution, or advertises anything at all: no prices, no services, no links to profiles or other sites.
Names or identifies a real person other than yourself, or lets someone work out who they are: names, nicknames, photos, descriptions that single someone out, workplaces, schools, or anyone's phone number, email, social media handle or address.
Exposes or harasses someone, for example pinning an ex-partner's home, or writing a story to embarrass, threaten or get back at someone.
Breaks the law where you are or in the United States, including content that is obscene under the law, sexual content involving animals or incest, or content that invades someone's privacy.
Isn't yours to post: someone else's story, or text copied from elsewhere.
Is spam or unrelated to a real place and experience.

By posting a story you promise that it follows these rules, and that everyone in it was an adult who consented.

6. Other things you may not do

Try to find out who wrote a story, or who a story is about, or use the site to locate or contact anyone.
Copy stories or pins in bulk, scrape the site, or use automated tools to access it, except ordinary search engine indexing of public pages.
Get around a ban, a limit, a moderation decision or any security measure, or create accounts to do so.
Interfere with the site: overload it, probe it for weaknesses without permission, or upload anything harmful.
File reports you know are false, or use reports to harass an author.
Impersonate anyone, including us.

7. How we moderate

Automatic checks before publishing. Every new story is checked for contact details and ad-like wording, and is then read by an automated AI model against the content rules. A story that clearly breaks them isn't published, and you're told why. A story the check is unsure about is held for a person to review. The Privacy Policy says who provides that check.
Limits. Posting pauses for a day after several stories are blocked, and each account has a daily limit on new stories. These are pauses, not bans.
Reports. Anyone can report a story, with or without an account. Some reports hide a story at once while we review it, for example a report that it involves a minor or is about the person reporting it.
Decisions. We may hide or remove any story, and suspend or ban any account, when we believe it breaks these Terms or the law, or puts someone at risk, even without a report and without notice. We try to be consistent, but the final decision is ours.
Review. If your story is hidden, you can still see it and ask for a review from the site. Bans are decided by a person, never automatically.
No duty to monitor. We moderate in good faith, but we don't read everything before it appears and we can't guarantee that no story breaks the rules.

8. Your stories and our license

You keep ownership of what you write. To run the site, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, display, format and distribute your stories on and through the site, and to review them for moderation, including with the automated check described above. We will not sell your stories, publish them outside the site, or show them with your identity.

The license ends when you delete a story or your account, except for copies in backups, which are deleted within 30 days, and copies we must keep to handle a report, a legal claim or a request from authorities.

You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it.

9. Reporting and legal notices

A story that breaks the rules, or is about you: use the report link on the story. No account is needed, and a report that a story is about you is handled first.
Legal notices and requests from authorities: email legal@hadsexhere.com. We respond to valid legal process, and we may preserve or disclose information as the Privacy Policy describes.
Content involving a minor is removed as soon as we see it and reported to the authorities as the law requires.

10. Copyright complaints

If you believe a story copies your work, email legal@hadsexhere.com with: your contact details; the work you own; a link to the story; a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you own the right or act for its owner; and your physical or electronic signature. We remove the story and tell its author, who may send a counter-notice. We close the accounts of repeat infringers.

11. Fees

The site is free while it launches. If we later offer paid features, their price, billing and cancellation terms will be shown before you buy, and added to these Terms. Nothing that is free today will start costing money without notice.

12. Privacy

How we handle personal data, including the sensitive fact that a story is about your sex life, is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

13. Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time from your account page. That deletes your stories and ratings at once.
We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop running the site. When we can, and when it's safe to, we'll tell you why.
Sections that by their nature should continue — the license for backups, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and disputes — continue after your account ends.

14. Disclaimers

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the site will be available, secure or free of errors, or that any story is true, accurate or lawful. Stories are the views and claims of their authors alone.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or from any story. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the greater of US$100 and the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Some places don't allow these limits. Where they don't, they apply only as far as the law allows.

16. Indemnity

If someone makes a claim against us because of what you posted or because you broke these Terms or the law, you will cover the resulting losses and reasonable legal costs. We will tell you about the claim and let you take part in the defense.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [governing law to be decided], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before starting any legal claim, contact us at legal@hadsexhere.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally. Claims must be brought individually, not as part of a class or representative action, to the extent the law allows. Nothing in this section takes away rights that the law where you live gives you and that can't be waived by contract.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms. The effective date at the top always shows the current version. For changes that materially affect your rights, we will tell signed-in members on the site or by email before the change takes effect. If you keep using the site after that, you accept the new Terms; if you don't, you can delete your account.

19. General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the site.
If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
If we don't enforce a term right away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later.
You can't transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours to whoever takes over the site, and will tell you if we do.
These Terms are written in English. If a translation is ever provided, the English version prevails.
